Short answer? Nothing but yourself. When you book a trip with Fishing Guide Juul, everything is taken care of so you can focus 100% on the fishing—and having a great time on the water. Here’s exactly what’s included, so you know what to expect and what (not) to pack.

Top-of-the-Line Tackle – Provided
No need to bring rods, reels, or bait boxes—unless you really want to show off your favorite lure. I provide all the fishing gear you need, from world-class rods and reels to a proven selection of baits. Whether we’re targeting zander, perch, or pike, you’ll fish with high-end equipment that gives you the best possible chance at success.
Weather-Ready Clothing – On Request
Dutch weather can be unpredictable, but that shouldn’t spoil your day on the water.
On request, I provide:
- Wind- and waterproof jackets and trousers
- Insulated gloves and boots for those cold winter sessions
Just let me know in advance, and I’ll make sure you stay warm and dry—without having to carry a thing.

On request Juul provides warm and waterproof clothes, if needed the whole outfit, from insulated boots to jacket, pants and proper gloves. So you don’t have to travel with all this bulky stuff.
Drinks & Snacks – Included
Fishing works up an appetite. That’s why there’s always coffee, water, soft drinks, cookies (stroopwaffels!), and classic Dutch raisin bread on board.
Feeling festive? I’m happy to bring a couple of beers too—just let me know beforehand. And of course, you’re welcome to bring your own snacks or drinks if you prefer.
Fishing Licenses – Taken Care Of
For trips within Amsterdam, I can provide a day license (7,50 euro per person, cash only). No need to arrange anything in advance.
If we head out to the large lakes and river systems outside Amsterdam, a day license isn’t available. In that case, you’ll need to purchase a VISpas beforehand. I’ll guide you through that process if needed.
Safety & Comfort – Fully Covered
When handling large pike, safety is key. I provide pike gloves to protect your hands from sharp gill plates and angry head shakes.
And to make sure everyone stays safe throughout the trip, I always have:
- Life jackets
- A first aid kit on board
Your safety, comfort, and enjoyment are my top priorities.
Just Show Up and Fish
Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned predator angler, you don’t need to worry about a thing. Book your Amsterdam fishing trip, show up dressed for the season, and leave the rest to me.
Let’s hit the water and make it a day to remember!
